Position Summary
We are looking for Children Book Illustrators (Contractual) who can produce children books and design promotional graphics and posters for books.
Goofi is the leading children publishing and content brand in Bangladesh. Our team is growing, and we currently have an outstanding opportunity for Children Book Illustrators to design and illustrate our books.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with children book illustration, hand-drawing and digital illustration techniques. Please share samples of your work (portfolio or previous book pdf) along with your application.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with author and editor to understand the script, storyboard and any particular requirements on illustration style
- Prepare storyboard of the books
- Combine hand-drawing and/or digital painting to illustrate the book
- Design book cover
- Combine text and illustration to complete the book
- Assemble the book according to the size and template to make it print ready
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Children Book Illustrator
- Proven work experience as an illustrator, graphic designer or similar role
- Solid knowledge of image editing and digital sketching software like Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign
- Drawing skills with an attention to detail (both by hand and digital pen)
- Strong aesthetic and conceptual skill
- Ability to collaborate and meet deadline
